Now that everything seems to be up and running, let us tell you more about what the site is all about.

Linkaster.org will be a place online to find out about up-comming parties and socials and to talk about them before and after the event. In addition, it enables any society to have their own space on the web.

By clicking on the calendar you can see up-comming parties and socials and add events to let others know whats happening when. You can also add news about up-comming events by clicking on the 'Submit News' link. If you do add an event please add a corresponding news article for the event, once approved the news article will be posted on the main page so all visitors can see it.

By using the forum you can discuss up-comming parties and socials before and after they happen.

In the image gallery you can post pictures of parties and socials after the event for everyone to see, if you do post pictures please state in the description what the event was and the date of the event so that they can be categorised properly.

If you are an organiser of a society or regular event, drop us an email for information on how to get your own page, forum and image gallery so that users have a place to find out information about your society online.

If you have any questions or suggestions feel free to post them in the forum or drop us an email using the details below.

We know there isn't much to look at right now, but check back soon as details of up-comming events and pictures will be posted within the next couple of weeks.

Linkaster.org was created to fill the need for a communication portal for Lancaster students. The intention of the site is to provide details of general and society based events for the Lancaster University community in addition to providing a means for students to discuss and organise up-comming events.

The site is currently in its testing phase and is not yet open to the public, stay tuned.
